Opening of Wind Farm Selac/Kosovo
Our wind farm Selac in Kosovo was officially inaugurated today by Anna Lena Baerbock and the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurtin.
The wind farm, located about 40 kilometers northeast of the capital Pristina, was already completed in October 2021. 27 wind turbines were erected
with a total output of almost 103 MW.
A particular challenge was the transport and erection at an altitude of up to 1,800 meters.
The total investment volume amounts to 170 million euros. The wind farm supplies electricity for more than 100,000 households and thus accounts for up to ten percent of Kosovo's electricity consumption.
