Start of construction of the first two commercial Vestas V150-5.6MW in Germany

The road construction work for the first Vestas V150-5.6 in Germany has begun.

The wind turbines with a hub height of 166 meters are part of a total of four Vestas V150s being built on the borderbetween Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The first two Vestas V150-4.2 turbines will go into operation near Lübbenow in early October.

As turbines of the new Vestas EnVentus series, the new V150-5.6 turbines produce at least 20 percent more electricity than the previous generation with the same rotor diameter, according to the manufacturer.They can thus supply around 12,000 households.

Delivery and installation is scheduled for the end of 2020.
